Application deadlines for the admission restrictet (öNC) course are as follows:

For the Summer Semester:
Citizens of Germany, other EU-member states or EEA states, als well as foreign applicants holding a German Bachelor's Degree: 15.01.
For applicants from abroad: 30.11.

For the Winter Semester:
Citizens of Germany, other EU-member states or EEA states, als well as foreign applicants holding a German Bachelor's Degree: 15.07.
For applicants from abroad: 31.05.

Admission Requirements

Formal Admission Requirements

To the application procedure only applicants become admitted, who have: 

  • a Bachelor-degree (B. Eng with 7 Semester = 210 ECTS) in Aerospace-Engineering or Mechanical-Engineering with correspondingly major-study
  • a Diplom-Ingenieur-degree (Dipl.-Ing. FH or TU/TH) in Aerospace-Engineering or Mechanical-Engineering with correspondingly major-study
  • a University-degree (B. Eng with 7 Semester = 210 ECTS) in another equivalent engineering study


A proof of English language skills is required for all applicants, whose native language or undergraduate studies is other than English.

As proof of your English language ability, you must submit one of the following certificates:

  • TOEFL with min. 92 score on the internet-based test or
  • TOEFL with min. 580 score on the paper-based test or
  • IELTS with min. 6.5 overall band score

or

  • Cambridge Certificate in Englisch (FCE), Grade C

The "Sprachenzentrum FH Aachen" offers a proof of English language skills.

  • Wed. 14.08.2019; Application deadline 01.08.2019
  • Wed. 16.10.2019; Application deadline 02.10.2019

Applicants, whose study qualification was achieved at a university outside the Bologna countries, must send a certified copy of the "Graduate Record Examination (GRE) - General Test" result before the application deadline. Application documents without GRE will not be processed. The minimum requirement for eligibility is 83% (named as "%below") in the quantitative part.

Study applicants, who did not acquire their study qualification at a German-speaking university, have to prove their German language knowledge latest at the time of immatriculation (time of enrolment/ registration) at the AcUAS through a "Zertifikat Deutsch B1". Certificates from the Goethe-Institutes will be acknowledged from the admissions office without any further tests. Chinese Applicants additionally need an APS Certificate.

Bewerbungsverfahren und -frist

The following documents have to be submitted to the university via the online application portal (no hard copies):

  • Filled out application form
  • Filled out subjects coverage list
  • Curriculum-Vitae (personal data sheet)
  • Copy of certificate of the first university-degree with a complete study-subject and grade overview
  • Applicants, whose study qualification was achieved at a university outside the Bologna countries, must send a certified copy of the "Graduate Record Examination (GRE) - General Test" result. Application documents without GRE at the application deadline will not be processed.
  • Study applicants, who did not acquire their study qualification at a German-speaking university, have to prove their German language knowledge latest at the time of immatrikulation at the AcUAS through a "Zertifikat Deutsch B1".
  • Proof of English language skill (TOEFL/IELTS)

Certificates and confirmations have to be submitted as certified copies in German or English language.



The application documents must be received by the AcUAS at the latest on:

  • May 31st (23:59) for foreign students and 15th (23:59) of July for European students (start in Winter Semester)
  • November 30th (23:59) for foreign students and 15th (23:59) of January for European students (start in Summer Semester)

Additional documents can not be accepted after the deadline!

Zulassung und Einschreibung

  • Based on the final grade of the first university degree or respectively the result of GRE-test (quantitative section) for international applicants, and achieved modules in the Bachelor's Course, the admissions for the Master's Programme will be given.

  • The enrollment needs to be done in person at the student registration office of AcUAS. The exact dates will be communicated in the admission letter.

  • Be aware that you will need to show the proof of payment of the Social Security Contribution (details), the proof of a student health insurance and your language certificates.

Studienbeitrag

Starting from winter semester 2011/2012 no tuition fee will be raised.
