Our Biotechnologie degree programme provides you with a broad range of theoretical and practical fundamentals. We cover all important areas of modern biotechnology. You will attend lectures and do practical trainings in biochemistry, genetic engineering, microbiology, enzyme technology, bioprocess engineering, immunology, cell culture technology and many more. You will learn how to alter microorganisms in a targeted manner, how proteins are produced, how fermenters function and you will get to know a great number of important analytical methods. All this will prepare you comprehensively for your job entry or postgraduate degree programmes.

Come to the Trial Course of Study During the Autumn Holidays!

You are a pupil in the 10th - 13th grade and are interested in biotechnology?

During the first week of autumn holidays (NRW), you have the opportunity to "get a taste" of lectures, exercises and practical training at the Faculty of Chemistry & Biotechnology on Campus Jülich for one day. You can decide freely and pick the courses that interest you!

In order to participate in the practical trainings, it is necessary to sign up because the places are very limited, so sign up early!

Come and See Us at the "Open Day" or Visit Us at a Trade Fair!

At FH Aachen's Campus Jülich, we regularly (bi-annually) hold an "Open Day". On this day, you get the opportunity to visit the laboratories and lecture halls as well as get an impression of the course of study. Many members of our teaching staff as well as students are available to answer your questions! Please refer to the announcements on our faculty website to find out when the next "Open Day" will take place.

The Biotechnologie degree programme will be introduced at various trade fairs, alongside the numerous other degree programmes at FH Aachen. At the exhibition stand, you will meet the staff of General Academic Counselling and, in some cases, staff from the individual faculties/degree programmes, who will be happy to answer your questions.
