Information on the Dual Degree Programme
Starting from winter WS 2014/2015 students of International Automotive Engineering are offered the opportunity to acquire a double degree as part of a 4-semester course. Credits gained at the respective partner university are mutually recognized, which leads to the Master's degree from two universities. A cooperation with the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology (RMIT) in Melbourne / Australia has been established.
The Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology (RMIT) is an Australian university of technology and design based in Melbourne, Victoria. RMIT was founded in 1887 as the Working Men's College of Melbourne. The university is among the best ranked in Australia and has an enrolment of around 82,000 students.
Basically, all students have the option available, but the stay in Melbourne is connected with tuition fees. Currently, these are in Australian $ 32,640 per year, which corresponds to about € 22,338. There are scholarships available. Full details can be found here.
As part of the cooperation agreement of the Master's program annually a limited number of scholarships in the amount of Australian tuition fee will be available. The awarding of these scholarships will be decided in a selection process of the Department of Aeronautical Engineering. The students of the Aachen Master's program "International Automotive Engineering" will be informed regarding application deadlines and criteria.
