Bachelor Programs

The Department of Aerospace Engineering offers the following Bachelor's degree programs:

  • Bachelor of Engineering in Aerospace Technology
    with the specialisations
    • Aircraft Construction
    • Flight Operations Technology
    • Propulsion Technology
    • Space Technology

  • Bachelor of Engineering Flight Operations Technology with Commercial Pilot License
    (B. Eng/ATPL)

    Flight operations technology as a dual course of study combined with an airline pilot license (training partner required)

  • Bachelor of Engineering in Vehicle and Drive technology
    with the specialisations
    • Drive Technology
    • Body and Interior

Master Programs

The Department of Aerospace Engineering offers the following Master's degree programs:

  • Master of Science in Aerospace Engineering (English)
    with the specializations
    • Aeronautics/Astronautics/Propulsion
    • Simulation

  • Master of Science in International Automotive Engineering (English)
    • Possible as a dual degree together with the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology (RMIT) in Australia

  • Master of Education in Teaching at a Vocational College in cooperation with a vocational school

Cooperative Study Programs

In addition to the Aerospace Department's own degree programs, several cooperative or preparatory opportunities are offered in cooperation with other departments of the FH or RWTH:

  • The Courses of Study Mechatronik (B.Eng) and Mechatronics (M.Sc.) are offered in cooperation with the departments 8 Mechanical Engineering and Mechatronics and 5 Electrical Engineering and Information Technology of the FH Aachen UAS.

  • Between March and July 2020 we offer an orientation semester together with RWTH Aachen University under „Guter Studienstart 2020“. A first-class decision support between subjects and types of universities.
  • Registration restrictions: Bachelor programs: none; Master programs: local
  • Internship: For the bachelor's degree programs, proof of 8 weeks of practical work before the start of studies is required.
  • Start: Bachelor's degree programs: winter semester; Master's degree programs: summer/winter semester
  • Application deadlines: summer semester: 15.1.; winter semester: 15.7 with application beginning in mid-May.
