University account

The university account is the user account for all centralised access-restricted services at FH Aachen. A universitry account is set up for every student. After registration, you will receive your login details from the Registrar's Office, with which you can release your account. After the release, it may take about 24 hours before you can use your university account and your university email address.

The university account serves as authentification for logging on to the FH network, e.g. in the computer labs, for email and WiFi. Moreover, you will need the account to register for preparatory courses or courses during the semester.

The university communicates with you exclusively via your university email address. According to the matriculation regulations you are obligated to check your email account provided by FH Aachen regularly (at least once a day) to receive documents or messages.

On the web pages of the Datenverarbeitungszentrale (Data Processing Centre) you will i.a. receive information about the various forms of authentication, the release and the different account settings.

WiFi on the campus

In the whole area of FH Aachen you have free access to the WiFi network eduroam. Sign on with your personal user data.

Courses and Timetable

Before you can attend the courses, you have to register via CampusOffice. You also have the possibility to create your timetable digitally. We have summarized the most important information about registering for courses and creating your timetable in explanatory videos. | Continue reading

Information on recognition

Information on recognition

Recognition of Business English

The examination office recognises exams taken at a vocational college or business and administration as study achievements if the following conditions are proved by certificate or any other document of the vocational college.

  1. It must be clearly recognisable that it is an exam of Business English.
  2. The competence level obtained according to the European competence framework for languages must be specified  and at least level B1 and/or B2 and/or C1 (for study programme Business Studies) or  level B2 and/or C1 (for the study programme International Business Studies 3 years - English speaking programme) must be proved.
  3. A mark must have been given.
  4. The certificate must not be older than two years at the time of recognition.

Other exams from vocational education are not recognised as study achievements.

If you want to file an application for the recognition of Business English submit the relevant proofs in original and copy to Melanie Reinders (room 212), Lilith Deutz (room 213) or Silke Speuser (room 214).
