Finding a topic

Finding a topic

You are interested in a certain topic such as logistics, marketing or taxes. Then you can contact a professor who represents that subject area. Jointly, you develop a topic and plan the timeline.

> You want to work on a practical task? Then, combine the practical project and/or the bachelor’s thesis with an internship in a company. Here, too, the first step leads you to a professor who represents that subject area.

Determining the first and second examiners

Determining the first and second examiners

After defining the topic, as a second step, you and a professor stipulate the supervision of your final thesis and determine that he or she is your first examiner. As a rule, the second examiner is proposed by the first examiner. Provided the consent of the examination board, it is also possible to suggest an external second examiner. Once you register your thesis in SAM you can fill in the right application. Please bear in mind that the external second examiner has to have a degree equal to or higher than yours.
