On this page, we’ll gladly provide you with an overview of all topics relevant for study during the coronavirus crisis.
Teaching and examinations will again take place largely in presence and the familiar corona protection measures will no longer apply from April, 2nd. 2022. Nevertheless, we strongly recommend wearing medical masks, ideally FFP2 masks, in lectures and traffic areas, and to continue to keep a distance of 1.5 m. All previously valid rules on hygiene should also continue to be observed. Please act responsibly and refrain from attending lectures if you have symptoms of illness.
From April 2nd, the admission requirements for attendance events will be dropped for everyone without replacement and the random checks at the entrances and in the building will be discontinued.
Even in times of the Corona pandemic, the framework examination regulations and the examination regulations of your respective degree programme continue to apply.
For further information, please refer to the current Corona University Ordinance.
From the winter semester 2021/22 onwards, the regulations of the respective examination regulations as well as the transitional regulations under examination law apply again, which can be found there after clicking on the degree programme.
The final oral examination according to § 31 RPO can now only be conducted via video conferencing system in justified exceptional cases. The corresponding amendment to (§8 (1) can be found here.
If you have any questions regarding the amendments, please contact our academic counselling service.

With effect from 11 April 2022, there will no longer be a free attempt for examinations.
The corresponding amendment to § 4 (7) can be found here. If you have any questions about the changes, please contact our Academic Counselling Service.
Through § 10 (1) of the University Ordinance of 15 April 2020, the individualised standard period of study for current students was increased by one semester. Since Amendment Ordinances came into force, the regulation also extends to the winter semester 2020/21, the summer semester 2021 and the winter semester 2021/22. This means that the standard period of study for enrolled students will be increased by one semester for the summer semester 2020, the winter semester 2020/21, the summer semester 2021 and the winters semester 2021/22. For students who were enrolled in all four semesters, the increase thus amounts to four semesters. Due to § 11a of our Corona University Ordinance, the regulation also applies to students on leave of absence.
