Department of Internal Auditing
Tasks/Description
The Rectorate utilises the services of Internal Audit in certain matters when exercising its management function in accordance with the law governing universities in the state of North Rhine-Westphalia. Further details are governed by the FH Aachen's internal auditing regulations.
Internal Audit contributes to the development and improvement of situation reports by providing internal auditing and consulting services. It is to uncover deviations and weaknesses and make recommendations for their elimination and future avoidance.
In organisational terms, Internal Audit is a Department within the university administration that reports to the Chancellor. It only acts on behalf of the Chancellor.
