Advice on the Subject of TRACE
In Aachen, there are about 26,000 students studying degree programmes related to start-ups, but the number of start-ups from this group remains fairly low. Two main reasons have been identified for this "start-up inertia". First of all, the start-up ideas of many students are not concrete enough; secondly, most students do not consider the perspective of an entrepreneurial career any further, as this is seen as being in competition with other study objectives. For this reason, RWTH Aachen University and FH Aachen, in cooperation with AC.E e.V. and with the support of the EU Regional Development Fund, are launching the TRACE Programme to help mobilise students as new founders. | Click here for further information. The Bologna Process and the introduction of Bachelor's and Master's degree programmes have improved doctoral opportunities for FH graduates. The concept of doctoral studies is ever-growing, but there are many steps that need to be taken into account. For this reason, it is advisable to consider other sources of information in addition to being in contact with the supervising professor who provides advice on matters of content.
