European Research Funding

With its focus on application-oriented research, the EU's Framework Programme for Research provides attractive conditions for the participation of universities of applied sciences. We will help you find the suitable tender among the multitude of EU funding offers, we will assist you in classifying your project idea, and we will provide you with orientation regarding the EU's rules of the game.

Our offer for researchers at FH Aachen

  • Information events and customised further training offers, as well as coaching or impulse lectures in your research group/institute/faculty
  • Newsletter on European research funding
  • Individual one-to-one counselling and funding research regarding the EU's Framework Programme for Research
  • Incentives and support during the application process (e.g. granting of personnel and travel allowances)
  • Support in setting up a consortium or an international network, resp.
  • Political and strategic advice on applications - support with positioning in the European research landscape.

A great number of the measures are financed by the KmEU project (Competence for Europe), which is funded by the BMBF as part of the EU-Strategie-FH measure.

The aim of the EU-Strategie-FH measure is the strategic positioning of universities of applied sciences in reference to European research topics as well as the increase of the visibility of universities of applied sciences in Europe. A total of 20 EU-Strategie-FH projects are funded by the BMBF. The funded universities have joined forces to form the FHnet network. More information about the FHnet network can be found here:
