Interlibrary loan provides the possibility to easily order literature online from other libraries. Literature, which is neither to be found in Aachen nor in Juelich, can be ordered via the interlibrary loan service.
The order will be automatically charged to your library account (charge: 1,50 EUR, payable within 4 weeks).
This general nominal charge is payable regardless of the actual delivery. An additonal for postage will be levied if you have not provided an e-mail address.
When searching the digital library, you shall be automatically notified by the system if the title is available in either Aachen or Jülich. If location identification refers to Jülich, you may nevertheless place an interlibrary loan order. Please contact the staff of your branch library.

You may fetch your books and copies ordered by interlibrary loan in your branch library.
In general, you can print the essays themselves free of all printing stations at the FH Aachen. Rarely it happens that copies are available at the circulation desk of your chosen branch library.
The loan period will be determined by the respective supplying libraries. As a rule, it is about four to six weeks. Please check your receipt upon lending for the due date and for particular borrowing regulations.
As it is the supplying library that determines the borrowing regulations, this question cannot be answered in general. Please ask the library staff of the FH Aachen before the expiration of the due date. If a renewal is possible, it is made subject to consent of the possessing library! We inform you in case the request for renewal shall be rejected. In this case you are requested to return the literature within ten days.
No. Since January 1st 2008 it is not possible anymore.
The recent changes in the German copyright law resolved upon by the German Bundestag and the Bundesrat lead to considerable restrictions in the delivery conditions for libraries participating in the Inter-library loan system since January 1st 2008. As the prerequisites for the delivery of electronic documents are regulated indefinitely only by § 53a UrhG (German copyright law), interlibrary loan libraries have to dispense with electronic delivery for the time being. This means copies of articles ordered via interlibrary loan will be available as print-outs only until further notice.
In case the title you look for is not listed in any of our databases, you may enter the data in a free entry mask that is offered when search was not successful. Please take into account that processing and delivering of such a request might take a bit longer, as this kind of demand has to be reworked conventionally. Please supply as many data as possible, if necessary, please also fill in "miscellaneous".
