uni-assist: Checklist Your application in 6 steps

For the application via uni-assist, you must have, and provide proof of knowledge of the German language at DSH-1 or B2 level. This information is not relevant for the degree program Global Business and Economics.
In addition, a confirmation of registration/participation for the examination or the course DSH-2, Goethe-Zertifikat C2, TestDaF (4x4), or an equivalent thereof, has to be submitted with the application documents. Before taking up your studies in a German-language degree programme, you have to prove sufficient knowledge of the German language. Prospective students who wish to participate in the preparatory language course of the Sprachenakademie Aachen (FH Aachen Language Centre) do not have to apply via uni-assist, but can do this directly via this "Sprachenakademie" (Language Centre). Further Information:
German citizens with foreign proofs of education  may also apply at a district government for the recognition of these proofs as a qualification for a university course of study in the Federal Republic of Germany and for the assessment of a final grade.

A prerequisite for the recognition is that the foreign proofs of education basically facilitate the admission to a course of study in the issuing country. The recognition is processed by the competent authority of the federal state where the certificate holder is habitually resident.

Certificate holders who do not reside in the Federal Republic of Germany address their application for recognition to the Office for the Recognition Certificates (Zeugnisanerkennungsstelle): Bezirksregierung Düsseldorf , Am Bonneshof 35, 40474 Düsseldorf .
