Admission as a Guest Auditor

On request, applicants who wish to attend individual courses and lectures at the FH Aachen, can be admitted as guest auditors, within the framework of the existing study opportunities. It is not necessary to provide proof of a university entrance qualification.

Admission as a guest auditor takes place for particular courses and lectures of the chosen degree programme only. Accordingly, you not only have to specify the chosen degree programme in your application for the status of guest auditor, but concretely list the courses and lectures you wish to be admitted to as well. The designations of the courses and lectures have to be taken, for example, from the course catalogue. The admission as a guest auditor is not associated with the right to take exams. You will only get a certificate attesting to your participation in specific courses and lectures.

Where required, you may need to get the permission of the teaching staff of the courses and lectures in question.
A "Hörerschein" (book discount voucher) is issued for admission to certain courses or for a certain degree programme.
A certificate of participation is not issued obligatorily. In individual cases, a certificate of participation  must be requested in advance from the respective instructor, but there is no claim to it.

The application for admission as a guest auditor has to be made anew for each semester.

The guest auditor fee amounts to € 100,-- per semester.
