Scientific Associate

We do challenging research and development programs that focus on electrified powertrains and their individual components, and shape the university into a research institution that attracts, inspires and provides excellent training for outstanding young talents. Together with our partners, we develop solutions for the mobility of the future in the field of fuel cell research. We offer the possibility of full-time employment. A possibility for a doctorate exists in the following three research areas:


  1. Atmospheric air composition on the performance of FC systems
  2. Scaling of FC systems through synergies
  3. FC system degradation mechanisms


Due to funding boundaries mobility rules apply to selected positions:

  1. not have lived and worked in Germany for more than 12 months in the preceding 3 years, and
  2. not be a current employee of the University at the time of applying.


Qualifications are job-dependent and then can include

- Experience in the field of development, vehicle integration and commissioning of complete fuel cell systems desirable

- Experience in component design and selection as well as requirements management in fuel cell prototyping desirable

- Programming knowledge in Matlab, Matlab Simulink, C or C++

- CAD knowledge desirable

- Very confident command of the German and English languages, both written and spoken
