Mechanical Engineering (AOS) B.Eng.

The Internationally Oriented Studies programs at the FH Aachen, Jülich Campus, specialize in teaching students technical abilities and skills as well as soft skills. All modules emphasize that

  • professional expertise means more than theoretical knowledge: application of professional knowledge is crucial
  • priorities include technical and professional expertise based on mathematics, natural sciences and technical skills
  • soft skills, including social competence and the ability to work in a team, are equally necessary for the students’ future employment.

You get the tools to become an Engineer in the first three semesters: You learn all mathematical and scientifical as well as academical basics of Mechanical Engineering.

In the fourth and fifth semester you get the specific basics in energy- and environmental technology. These subjects primarily provide advanced knowledge and understanding of the energetic and thermodynamic processes of energy conversion methods and the associated plant technology. In addition, the lecture material is deepened in these semesters through practical courses.

The first half of the sixth semester is devoted to a practical subject or you can choose three elective modules. The Bachelor thesis is the completion of your studies. Afterwards you start your working life or continue with a master course.
