Graduation

On Friday, 14 November 2025, in the historic setting of the Coronation Hall in Aachen City Hall, graduates of the Faculty of Business Studies received their degree certificates and celebrated their successful completion of their studies together with parents and friends, professors from FH Aachen, lecturers and staff from the faculty.

Around 150 of last year's 320 graduates took part in the graduation ceremony. Volker Stempel, Chancellor of FH Aachen, Dr Michael Ziemons, Lord Mayor of the City of Aachen, and Prof Dr Markus Fredebeul-Krein, Dean of the Faculty of Business Studies, welcomed the guests in attendance, which included numerous company representatives and cooperation partners of the faculty.

"You have earned a degree from a renowned university - and that is a seal of quality that you can be justifiably proud of," said Prof Dr Markus Fredebeul-Krein, welcoming the graduates.

The Faculty of Business Studies has maintained contacts with over 110 partner universities worldwide for years, making it a pioneer in the field of internationalisation. Every year, around 120 students spend part of their studies abroad, where they are prepared for the demands of a globalised working world. As a result, 11 graduates completed their studies with a double degree. Partner universities in Europe included Dublin Business School in Ireland, Midsweden University in Sweden and the Universidad de Jaén in Spain. In addition, 40 people received their Bachelor's degree in the English-language degree programme "Global Business and Economics".

Ten young people completed the Business Studies Praxis Plus dual study programme, i.e. they pursued a career alongside their studies or obtained a degree in industrial management, retail management, office management, wholesale and foreign trade management or e-commerce alongside their Bachelor's degree. The cooperating companies included Alexianer Aachen GmbH/ViaNobis GmbH, Bischöfliches Generalvikariat Aachen, Chocoladefabriken Lindt & Sprüngli, Dalli-Werke GmbH & Co KG, Fidaix GmbH Wirtschaftsprüfungsgesellschaft Steuerberatungsgesellschaft, Grünenthal Pharma GmbH & Co KG, Lebenshilfe Heinsberg e.V., Rangee GmbH and Schönmackers Umweltdienste GmbH & Co KG.

I wish you the following along the way: courage - where others hesitate, curiosity - where others close their minds and attitude - where others bend," said Prof Dr Markus Fredebeul-Krein, bidding farewell to the graduates.

Every year we produce a graduate book for which we need a professional application photo from you. It will be printed in the book together with the topic of your final thesis. The book is not only a special memento of your time at university, we also receive enquiries from companies who use the graduate book to search for suitable junior staff.
