Graduation

In the historic ambience of the Coronation Hall in Aachen City Hall, the graduates of the Faculty of Business Studies receive their degree certificates every year and celebrate their successful graduation together with parents and friends, professors from FH Aachen and the Lecturers and staff of the faculty.

The next graduation ceremony will take place on 14 November 2025. All students of the Faculty of Business Studies who will graduate in the period from 1 September 2024 to 31 August 2025 are invited to attend.

Every year we produce a graduation book for which we need a professional application photo from you. It is printed in the book together with the topic of your final thesis. The book is not only a special memento of your time as a student, but we also receive enquiries from companies that use the graduate book to search for suitable junior staff.

On Friday, 13 December 2024, in the historic setting of the Coronation Hall in Aachen City Hall, graduates of the Faculty of Business Studies received their degree certificates and celebrated their successful completion of their studies together with parents and friends, professors from FH Aachen as well as lecturers and staff from the faculty.

Around 150 of last year's 330 graduates took part in the graduation ceremony. Prof. Dr Thomas Ritz, Rector of FH Aachen, Dr Margrethe Schmeer, Mayor of the City of Aachen, and Prof. Dr Markus Fredebeul-Krein, Dean of the Faculty of Business Studies, welcomed the guests in attendance, which included numerous company representatives and cooperation partners of the faculty.

"Your time as a student was characterised by challenges that we will all remember. The coronavirus pandemic, the war in Ukraine and the associated energy crisis have shown us how fragile the world can be. You can be very proud of what you have achieved despite the adversity," said Prof Dr Markus Fredebeul-Krein, welcoming the graduates.

The Faculty of Business Studies has maintained contacts with over 110 partner universities worldwide for years, making it a pioneer in the field of internationalisation. Every year, around 120 students spend part of their studies abroad, where they are prepared for the demands of a globalised working world. For example, 13 graduates completed their studies with a double degree Partner universities in Europe included Dublin Business School in Ireland, Midsweden University in Sweden and the Universidad de Jaén in Spain. In addition, 36 people received their Bachelor's degree in the English-language degree programme "Global Business and Economics".

Ten young people completed the dual study programme Business Studies Praxis Plus, i.e. they pursued a career alongside their studies or obtained a degree as an industrial clerk, retail clerk, office management clerk or wholesale and foreign trade management clerk in addition to their Bachelor's degree. The cooperating companies included Aixtron SE, ALDI SE & Co KG Eschweiler, Edeka Plum, FeedBack Show Systems & Service GmbH, Gates GmbH, Grünenthal Pharma GmbH & Co KG, Inform GmbH, Kohl automobile Vertriebs GmbH and Weiss-Druck GmbH & Co KG.

"I hope that you never underestimate the value of your education and that you enrich the world with your knowledge and creativity," said Prof Dr Markus Fredebeul-Krein, bidding farewell to the graduates.
