Lean Lab
Wheels, screws, axles: How to assemble a toy truck from these individual parts as efficiently as possible is what the students of the Faculty of Business Studies learned during the Logistics Consulting course in the LEAN LAB. In addition to teaching, the LEAN LAB serves as a platform for student research projects and third-party funding. The basic simulation represents a final assembly with four possible optimisation rounds.
Production of trucks in 3 basic variants - 1,400 variants possible
- Products are assembled by students in each round
- Optimisation of the basic simulation takes place in 4 rounds
- Further, more in-depth topics are worked out by students and tried out with the other course participants (e.g. model mix, ageing)
