Registration for compulsory practical trainings (Bachelor):

1st semester

• Registration begins during the first week of the semester following one of your first compulsory courses
• You will find detailed information in CampusOffice in good time
• Deadline on Wednesday of the first week of courses at 23:59
• Final allocation during the Thursday of the first week of classes

Practical trainings 2nd and 3rd semester

• In each case 2 weeks before the start of the course on Mondays at 12 noon
• Deadline on Wednesday of the first week at 11:59 pm
• Final allocation during the Thursday of the first week of the course

Registration for compulsory electives:

Summer semester:
1st ballot end of January to beginning of February
2nd ballot mid to end of March

Winter semester:
1st ballot early to mid-July
2nd ballot mid to end of September

Registration for interdisciplinary projects (election):

Summer semester: March
Winter semester: September

Registration for soft skills subjects:

Winter semester

• Registration begins on Tuesday of the first week of classes at 12 noon
• Deadline on Wednesday of the first week of classes at 11:59 pm

Summer term

• Registration begins two weeks before the start of the course on Mondays at 12 noon
• Deadline on Wednesday of the first week at 11:59 pm

Registration for practical project: Usually at the beginning of the last semester of study, but always before the final thesis and, if applicable, after the practical semester has been completed; if possible, register approx. 1 month before the start date

Registration for final thesis:If applicable, after the degree of the practical semester or semester abroad and always only after successfully completing the practical project and as soon as all but a maximum of 2 examinations of the degree programme have been passed

Registration for the practical semester: no later than 1 month before the start

Colloquium : within 4 weeks after submission of the final thesis - individual appointment with the supervising teacher.

Change of degree programme: Change of degree programme, applications for double degree programmes, re-enrolment after graduation or interruption of studies and transfer to another university: 28.02. or 31.08(see also)

Application for a semester abroad : Initial consultation with the Department of International Affairs preferably in the 2nd/3rd semester in order to receive early information on special scholarships with long lead times> Plan and apply at least one year in advance

Registration for university sports: Registration for programmes in the first period always starts on Tuesday in the week before the start of lectures at RWTH Aachen University. For the programme of the second period, registration starts just under 2 weeks before the start of the summer semester and just under 5 weeks before the start of the winter semester.
