Machine Design

This laboratory is used for practical trainings of the following lectures (or modules): Machine Elements, Machine Design Theory, Machine Elements - Higher Calculation Methods and Tribology.

Furthermore it can be used for student project works and final theses.

• Instruments for viscosity measurements (ball drop viscometer KF30 according to DIN 53015 and R/S cone-plate rheometer)
• Experiment set-up to determine the friction in friction bearings (Stribeck curve)
• Gear measuring center (Klingelnberg) to measure standardized gears from the FZG (gear rig test machine)
• Experiment set-up to visualize EHD contact
• Gear measuring center PFS 600
• Systems and devices for machine monitoring and diagnosis
