Preamble
Digitalisation is leading to fundamental changes in the world of work and life. Universities play a central role in shaping our society. We are actively involved in the further development of digitalisation. We involve all members and staff in this process. People and the benefits of digitalisation are at the centre of this change.
Our Guiding Principles
- We see digitalisation as an opportunity for innovation and as a driving force of change processes in higher education.
- We use digitalisation as an opportunity to redesign, automate and optimise processes and improve user-friendliness.
- We use digitalisation to link digital and analogue resources in a meaningful way.
- Successful digitalisation requires an interdisciplinary approach and a holistic view.
- We create scope and opportunities to implement digitalisation in its many facets and support all members and affiliates of the university in further developing their digital skills.
- We sensitise all members of the university to the social and ethical consequences of using digital technologies and handling data.
- We see ourselves first and foremost as a presence university and use digitalisation as an additional opportunity to support and promote members of the university individually with regard to the requirements of a digitalised working world.
- We create a high user-friendliness and quality of all digital application systems of the university.
- We strive for high quality and the highest possible security of the information in order to be able to make the information available as needed, independent of location, time and device.
