The primary purpose of Internal Audit is to support all parties involved within our institution by providing independent auditing and consulting services, thereby helping them to achieve the university’s objectives as set by the Rectorate.

We do not seek out mistakes or misconduct in the personal work areas of individual employees, but rather identify weaknesses in organisations, systems and processes that may be the root cause of work-related errors made by individuals.

The official directive – Internal Audit – governs our relationship with our clients in the areas of audit and consulting.

FH Aachen is a member of the Joint Internal Audit of the Universities of the Rhine Region (Gemeinsame Innenrevision der Hochschulen der Rheinschiene). The Chancellor represents the university in the respective steering group. There is comprehensive cooperation between the participating universities in the areas of audit and consulting.
