Representation of Student Assistants

Are you a Student Assistant at FH Aachen and have questions about your employment contract, or are you looking for the right person to contact regarding your employment? Then you’ve come to the right place!

The SHK Representative Committee (Representative Committee for Student Assistants) works to promote the interests and concerns of all student assistants (SHKs) at FH Aachen. Our role is to act as a contact for SHKs, provide information, ensure transparency regarding working conditions, and offer support in the event of any questions or problems.

What we do:

• Representing SHK interests on university-wide committees and working groups
• Providing advice and support on issues relating to contracts, working hours or rights as a student assistant
• Engaging with other student assistants, as well as with staff representatives and the AStA
• Organising information sessions and workshops
• Contributing to the further development of fair terms of employment

Volunteering with the SHK representative body offers the opportunity to get involved in university politics, contribute your own ideas and play an active role in improving study and working conditions.
