University-specific offers

The Inter-University Continuing Education (HÜF) is an institution of the FernUniversität Hagen. The seminars offered by the HÜF are particularly aimed at employees from technology and administration as well as administrative-related institutions of higher education in NRW. The face-to-face seminars take place either in Hagen or in Herdecke. For events lasting several days, the HÜF takes over the organisation and financing of hotel accommodation. However, online seminars at the HÜF can also be attended. Participation in HÜF seminars is free of charge for staff. Thematically, many areas of university activity are offered. You can find the current programme at https://programm.huef-nrw.de/.

When registering for an HÜF seminar, you can proceed as follows:

1. Search out the seminar including the event number
2. Fill out the registration form
   • by adding the seminar to the shopping basket on the HÜF page and entering your data there
   • by using the registration form for the HÜF programme from the download area
3. Send the completed form, signed by your manager, by e-mail to personalentwicklungfh-aachen.de or by internal post to Dec. I.4 - Personnel Development.

You will then receive an e-mail with the registration form. In some cases it is possible that you cannot participate in the seminar. The FH Aachen has only a limited number of places available for each seminar.

The Fortbildungsakademie Herne (FAH) is an institution of the Ministry of the Interior of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia. The range of seminars is aimed at all persons employed in the public service in North Rhine-Westphalia. All seminars currently offered can be found in the FAH seminar catalogue.

Registration for FAH seminars must be made through Human Resources Development. Please follow this process:

1. Select a seminar including the event number
2. Fill out the application for participation in an external continuing education event
3. Send the completed form, signed by your manager, by e-mail to personalentwicklungfh-aachen.de or via in-house post to Dec. I.4 - Personnel Development

Before the seminar begins, you will receive an e-mail with all the detailed information about the booked event.

The Centre for Library and Information Science Further Training (ZBIW) offers further training opportunities specially developed for employees of public and academic libraries. For you as NRW state employees, the ZBIW offers are free of charge. The programme contains both digital and face-to-face courses. The face-to-face courses can take place in various cities in NRW, for example in Cologne, Bergisch Gladbach, Dortmund or Mühlheim.

This is how you can participate in a ZBIW offer:

1. Choose a seminar
2. Register yourself via the ZBIW website
3. Fill out the application form for participation in an external continuing education event
4. Send the completed form, signed by your manager, by e-mail to personalentwicklungfh-aachen.de or by internal post to Dec. I.4 - Human Resources Development.

HIS eG offers software solutions for higher education management and training for these software solutions. If you work with the products of HIS eG, you can register for one of the online or classroom offerings. The face-to-face sessions take place in Hanover on the premises of HIS eG.

Here, too, the process is the same as for any other external further training:

1. Choose a seminar
2. Register yourself via the HIS eG website
3. Fill out the application for participation in an external continuing education event
4. Send the completed form, signed by your manager, by e-mail to personalentwicklungfh-aachen.de or via the in-house post office Dec. I.4 - Human Resources Development.

You will receive confirmation of your registration and further information approximately three weeks before the event.

In the field of IT, there are also continuing education programmes specifically for the public sector. it.NRW offers various seminars in the field of e-government. The face-to-face seminars take place in various cities across NRW. For online seminars, it.NRW uses webex as a platform. As an NRW state employee, the offers are free of charge for you.

The registration with it.NRW must be carried out by us as Human Resources Development. To enable us to register you, please proceed as follows:

1. Select a seminar from the it.NRW website.
2. Fill out the application for participation in an external continuing education event
3. Send the completed form, signed by your manager, by e-mail to personalentwicklungfh-aachen.de or via the in-house mail to Dec. I.4 - Personnel Development

Registrations should reach it.NRW at least two weeks before the seminar begins. Please note this deadline when sending the application for external further training.
