Appeal procedure
If you have any questions about appointment procedures, such as the legal basis, the wording of the advertisement, the weighting of selection criteria or strategies and arguments, please contact the central Equal Opportunity Officer. A transparent and formalised procedure is an indispensable prerequisite for quality assurance as well as for ensuring equal opportunities in appointment procedures. Therefore, it is important to familiarise yourself with the appointment regulations and, if possible, always have the appointment handbook and the corresponding working aids with you at meetings.
At FH Aachen, a guideline for appointment procedures was specially drafted to help ensure that the appointment procedure is standardised and gender-sensitive. This increases the chances for women applying for professorships.
The guidelines are prepared and regularly updated by the Equal Opportunity Officer and her deputies.
The appointment committee is required to follow the procedures in the guidelines.
The appointment regulations form the basis of all appointments at FH Aachen.
