Inclusion
Inclusion is a human right and is enshrined in the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities: Everyone has the right to full participation in society. FH Aachen is committed to the principles of the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities and is continuing to develop into an inclusive university. It understands the removal of barriers, the gain in perspectives and the appreciation of diversity as an academic, educational and social added value.
"People are not disabled, they become disabled. They have impairments, but it is the barriers in everyday life that hinder them."
From the speech by former Federal Chancellor Merkel on the occasion of the annual reception of the Federal Government Commissioner for the Interests of People with Disabilities on 17 August 2021 in Berlin.
On the following pages of the FH Aachen you will find a variety of information and counselling services to facilitate your work at the FH Aachen with a disability. We are happy to answer any questions or comments you may have.
