Rhine-Ruhr Center for Scientific Data Literacy (DKZ.2R)

The DKZ.2R is one of eleven data literacy centres in Germany funded by the Federal Ministry of Research, Technology and Space.
The aims are:
- Reduce data-related hurdles in research
- Promote cultural change in the handling of research data (FAIR principles)
- Strengthen the basis for data-based innovation
- To impart methodological expertise in the areas of data science, machine learning, high-performance computing and research data management in a holistic manner
Data challenges, advisory programmes and research tandems are set up and promoted to achieve these goals. The programme is intended for researchers at all career levels.
FH Aachen is participating in the project together with eight partners through the IDT and the Big Data Lab:
