Admission Requirements for the Degree Programme Aerospace Engineering B.Eng.
In addition to the general admission requirements, you must also meet the following requirements for the Bachelor's degree programme in Aerospace Engineering:
Nachweis über Sprachkenntnisse
English Language Skills
Proof of English language skills is required for all applicants whose native language is not English or who have not completed their first professionally qualifying degree at an English-speaking university.
The following TOEFL/IELTS examination scores are considered as proof:
- TOEFL Internet-based with at least 92 points or
- TOEFL Paper-based with at least 580 points or
- IELTS with at least 6.5 overall band-score
or
- Cambridge Certificate in English (FCE), Grade C
English skills can also be tested through an entrance test at the FH, which takes place on site in Aachen. You can find more information about the examination procedure and dates on the Language Centre's page
Pre-study Practical Training
Proof of Practical Experience
No pre-study internship is required for admission to the Aerospace Engineering B.Eng. program. However, it has been shown that it helps students a lot to understand the content of the course in combination with the practical content of the course. Having already worked with certain materials or manufacturing processes is an advantage if these are covered in the course.
Online Self Assessment / FH Navigator
Participation in the Online Self Assessment / FH Navigator
Proof of participation in the online self-assessment must be submitted upon registration. As this provides valuable information for self-reflection, it is advisable to take the assessment as early as possible.
Information on this and access to the FH Navigator can be found on this website.
Proof of Registration
After completing the online self-assessment, you will receive a confirmation of your participation, which you must print out (PDF document) and present at the time of registration. As your entries are confidential, the confirmation does not contain any information about your entries or results, but only the certificate that you have completed an online self-assessment prior to registration.
Registration
A few weeks after your application, you will receive a letter of acceptance or rejection from the faculties. This will reserve you a place at university.
If you would like to take up the place at university, you will need to provide some further information and take some additional steps. Simply follow the instructions on the letter of admission within the deadline.
