application
The prerequisite for the dual studies programme in Applied Mathematics and Computer Science in Cologne is an apprenticeship at one of the cooperating companies or FH Aachen. The first step is therefore the application for an apprenticeship as a mathematical-technical software developer.
In addition to an application to a cooperating company, research institution or university, you can also apply directly to the Cologne campus of FH Aachen for an apprenticeship. The FH Aachen is happy to help successful applicants find a suitable apprenticeship position and also offers apprenticeships itself. Your application should include a CV, your most recent certificate and a cover letter. This should explain why you would like to study Applied Mathematics and Computer Science. Successful applications will be invited to an interview and a knowledge test at the place of study. The test focuses on maths knowledge and general skills. The tests are carried out regularly throughout the year. Applications to start the programme in September are possible from October of the previous year until June. However, many companies have longer selection periods, so that an early application allows a greater choice of training places. Following the degree of the training contract, the admission procedure for the place at university at FH Aachen, Cologne is then carried out. All successful applicants receive a place at university.
