Engineering Management M.Sc.

The master program Engineering Management (in the discipline: Mechanical Engineering) is open for graduates with a bachelor degree in Engineering Management or a similar business-and-engineering-oriented program and leads to the master degree (Master of Science) upon successful completion.

The master program is carried out in close cooperation between the Faculty of Business Sciences (FB7) and the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Mechatronics (FB8). The latter is responsible for its organization.

The studies' focus has been laid on the professional challenges that the middle management in internationally working, manufacturing technology companies is faced with. The already in the bachelor program obtained knowledge and skills in business, mechanical engineering, production, logistics and technical sales are further extended in the master program by management competencies as well as more special sound expertise about development and production procedures that are essential for successfully accomplishing managerial tasks in technology companies.

The already in the bachelor program acquired skills in communication, presentation and team work are further improved and upgraded in the master program Engineering Management through modules that are often taught as seminars.

Students of the master program learn to examine theoretical and scientific insights, evaluate them critically and apply them by tackling real issues in the world of work.
