Mobility Semester

Our Master's degree programme in Business Development has a strong international focus:
The courses and lectures have an international focus and are largely taught in English. It is also possible to study in English only.
The students are an international mix and the lecturers bring international experience to the programme. This brings in different international and cultural backgrounds and the teamwork in project work and case studies also helps participants to develop their intercultural skills.

The third semester - semester abroad or practical semester

The curriculum includes a mobility semester in the third semester.
In this semester, you have the opportunity to study for a semester at one of our numerous partner universities worldwide or, alternatively, to work on an international project at a company, preferably in conjunction with a stay abroad.

If you choose to study abroad for two semesters, you have the option of completing your studies with a double degree - the Master of Science from FH Aachen and an equivalent degree from the partner university - depending on which partner university you study at. In this case, the final thesis will also be written abroad.

If you decide to carry out the international project, you will spend at least five months (20 weeks) working on a practice-orientated project in a company in Germany or abroad and then write a report. The project should have an international focus and be supervised by a professor at FH Aachen.

Before the practical semester starts, you must submit the following documents:

1. in the first document, you provide information about your internship position. You submit this document to your supervising professor.

2. complete the application for admission to the mobility semester, have it confirmed by your supervising professor and submit it to the Examinations Office.

After the practical semester has ended, you must submit the following documents:

1. prepare your report so that it meets the criteria, which you can find in advance in the checklist Certificate of successful participation in the practical semester. You then submit the report to your supervising professor so that it can be checked and successful participation can be confirmed and communicated to the Examinations Office.

2. if you would like to have an internship recognised for which you have not applied for prior admission, please also complete the recognition form and submit it to the Examinations Office together with the certificate of successful participation in the practical semester itself.
