Log in with your FH identification and password.

MyQ-X is available in all common app stores. In addition to the website, you can conveniently manage print jobs on your mobile device.

  • Buy credit vouchers in the Library
Buy vouchers of €0.50, 1.00€, €2.00, €5.00 or €10.00 at the service counter from library staff to top up your credit. No refund!

  • Upload print jobs to myQ
Add a print job, either via the website using "Print file..." or in the app using the "+".

  • Log in to the printer with PIN or QR code
Generate a PIN via the myQ homepage or use the app to scan the QR code on the printer display. Then print out what you want.

  • Copying or scanning is also possible on the devices.

General information

  • For printing and copying you need credit vouchers, which you can buy at the Library service counter for €0.50, €1.00, €2.00, €5.00 or €10.00.
  • Save your document in the desired format: A4 or A3 are possible.
  • When uploading your document, you must specify how the print job is to be carried out (e.g. black and white or colour, double-sided, etc.).
  • The prices for printouts and copies depend on the format, single-sided or duplex, black and white or colour. The exact price is displayed before the printout.
Example: a single-sided black and white printout in A4 costs €0.05. See also
  • You can delete the print jobs after printing. Print jobs that have not been deleted can be found under "Jobs / Printed".
  • Various scanning functions are available. Depending on the device, files are saved to a USB stick or to the home directory. It is possible to scan and send files to an email address.

What is allowed inside & what is not?

The library accepts no liability for the items stored. We, therefore, recommend that you do not leave any valuables that you urgently need in the locker (e.g. money, laptop, keys, medication, etc.).

    Learning utensils
    Personal items

What is not allowed to be placed in the locker?

Loan Period & Renewal

The loan period for the Bayernallee and Eupener Straße locker keys is usually four weeks and can be renewed at any time. You must present the key at the library after 24 weeks at the latest.

In the Bayernallee, Dennewartstraße (TZA) and Eupener Straße libraries, lockers with a shortened loan period are available. These lockers are only accessible during the library's opening hours.

Please note that you can only hand in the keys to the library staff during service hours and not at the self-service terminal.

Loss & Fees

If a key is lost, the user bears the cost of replacing the key and pays an additional administrative fee of €25.00.

General Information

The University Library of FH Aachen does not assume any liability for the items stored in the lockers. It is not permissible to use more than one locker at the same time. The locker must be emptied and locked before the key is returned! You can find further information on the use of lockers in the Locker Regulations.

Internet & WiFi

As a university member, you have access to WiFi via Eduroam in all buildings. You can find information and instructions on how to set it up on the Data Processing Centre (DVZ) page.

We also offer publicly available computer workstations in our libraries. There are rules of conduct for their use. To read these, please refer to the Network Regulations of FH Aachen.

Among other things, you agree to:

  • accept the Network Regulations of FH Aachen
  • observe the criminal code and youth protection acts
  • not manipulate data and programmes
  • observe the copyright law

Payment Station

A payment station for cashless payment of your library fees (e.g. late fees and printing fees) is available in our libraries Eupener Str., Bayernallee, Jülich and in study room 3205 at Goethestraße. Your PIN is preset to your date of birth DDMM and can be changed at your own discretion in your user account.

Before making a payment, load your FH Karte with credit at one of the top-up machines in the dining halls and cafeterias, or by SEPA order.

Self-Service

During opening hours, you can borrow and return media all by yourself. All you need is your FH Karte and your PIN. Your PIN is preset to your date of birth DDMM and can be changed in your library account.

Please place your media on the glass top of the self-service terminal. The bookings are made automatically and are shown to you on the display.

No FH Karte is required when returning media items.

After the booking has been completed, you will receive your booking voucher either as a printout or by email.

Borrowing media via the self-service terminal is not possible...

  • for media from the non-lending collection
  • for media from course reserves
  • for media borrowed via interlibrary loan
  • if your library account has been blocked

In the above cases, please consult the staff at the circulation desk.

Return Box

Please note the following for the use of the return boxes:

  • The booking of the returned media will only take place on the next working day. Therefore, please return your books no later than one working day before the deadline expires! Late returns will incur a fee.
  • Insert carefully! Please place books with their spine facing downwards into the slot.
  • Do not drop off interlibrary loans, keys or oversized media.
  • You will not receive a receipt at the return box.
  • The borrower is personally responsible for returning the books. Please do not place any books on top of the return box if it is full.

The return boxes are located outside the library and are, therefore, available to you during the occasionally longer opening hours of the buildings. We do not have a return box available for you at the Dennewartstraße (TZA) branch library.
