MINT4Girls Camp

Milling, welding, sandblasting, puzzling, measuring, programming, calculating, tinkering, screwing,... In short: technology you can touch and try out.

Every year in the first week of the autumn holidays, 20 girls in grades 9 and 10 from all over Germany have the chance to experience technology live at FH Aachen.

If you want to find out whether a technical profession is something for the future or simply want to learn more about technology and try out new processes in practice and are in the mood for an exciting week during the autumn holidays, this camp is the right place for you.

Programme:

Day 1:
10:00 a.m. - Welcome and organisation at Aachen Youth Hostel
- Getting to know the teamers and the other participants
- Room allocation and moving in
12:30 - Lunch
14:00 - Workshop 1 at FH Aachen:

Now it's getting practical! Throughout the week, the participants will take part in many workshops at the FH Aachen in the Faculties of Electrical Engineering and Information Technology, Aerospace Engineering and Mechatronics and will learn numerous things and try them out for themselves in practical trainings.

18:30 - Dinner at the youth hostel
20:00 - Evening programme

A varied programme awaits the girls on the 4 evenings. Self and career development, cinema, games, my strengths and weaknesses, a farewell party and, of course, plenty of free time.
