Industrie 4.0 Summer School, Melbourne 2019
The cultural diversity in Australia was also noticeable at our Industry 4.0 Summer School 2019 at the partner university RMIT University: A total of 25 participants from 8 nations (including Australia, China, Jordan and Turkey) invested a semester week and a holiday week to take part in our Summer School. This took place at the Department of Manufacturing, Materials and Mechatronics at RMIT University in order to expand the cooperation between the two universities and strengthen the mutual exchange.
The mornings were filled with theory lectures and application examples in companies, in the afternoons the participants had to venture into programming themselves. It quickly became clear that clear and comprehensible communication is not only important for solving technical challenges in Industrie 4.0, but also leads to success in group work. The technical programme was complemented by a gingerbread tasting and information on study and internship opportunities at FH Aachen and in Germany.
