Industry 4.0 Summer School 2019 in Aachen

2 days intensive course, 29 participants, summer heat - that was the Industrie 4.0 Summer School 2019!

From 22.07. to 02.08.2019, the Industrie 4.0 Summer School took place at the Institute for applied Automation and Mechatronics (IAAM) in Faculty 8. A total of 29 participants from 11 nations (including Argentina, Uzbekistan, Sri Lanka and the USA) discussed the topic of Industry 4.0 and (in keeping with the summer weather) got various temperature sensors working. Various topics were addressed, ranging from the various industrial revolutions to the introduction of Industry 4.0 in companies and successful production planning. The programme was rounded off with a guided tour of Aachen, a day trip to Amsterdam and a visit to the DHL logistics centre in Beringe and the historic town of Monschau. At the end of the two weeks of Summer School, there was a big barbecue in the courtyard of Goethestraße, where the weather gods cooperated so that only the helpers got wet during dismantling.

The Summer School was led by Prof. Wollert, supported by Jessica Ulmer and Sebastian Braun.
