Heart valve test stand

Test stand for flow analysis using PIV (Particle Image Velocimetry) on artificial heart valves, in particular on stentless prostheses. A special procedure for the production of artificial aortas was developed in the cardiotechnology laboratory for this purpose.

Oxygenator test stand

Test stand for analysing oxygenators with fully automatic gas flow control (PID control) using LabVIEW. All relevant parameters such as temperatures, volume flows, pressures and blood gas values are continuously recorded. The enclosure is switched off when predefined limit values are reached.

Nanofibre spinning

Nonofibre spinning with 30kV high voltage is used to produce nanofibres to create a scaffold for the colonisation of smooth muscle cells (aortic smooth muscle cells). The cells are subjected to pulsatile pressure in a bioreactor.
