III.2 | Accounting and taxes
Our tasks
We are responsible for
- issuing outgoing invoices in compliance with tax and budgetary regulations,
- the proper booking of incoming invoices,
- the calculation and payment of artists' social security contributions,
- setting up and posting recurring entries,
- the maintenance of partner data,
- the inventory of fixed assets,
- the legal processing of donations and sponsoring,
- basic tax matters,
- the handling of commercial operations,
- proper customs clearance,
- Determination of the VAT payment burden and submission of advance VAT returns,
- Determination and transfer of other tax declarations (e.g. energy tax) and reports (e.g. payments based on work and fee contracts),
- preparation of the annual financial statements including balance sheet, profit and loss account, attachments and management report,
- preparation of the quarterly reports and report to the University Council,
- Deferral and cancellation of claims,
- preparation of external balance confirmations,
- tax and state aid contract audits,
- Determination of payments to be made to the AStA and Studierendenwerk.
