The BSI (Federal Office for Information Security) provides information on its website for consumers (see: BSI for consumers) provides all important security recommendations and up-to-date information on security risks and attack methods.
The website is divided into three sections: Information and recommendations, Cyber security situation and Services and cooperation, and addresses the issues associated with the digitalisation of our society.
The sections are clearly divided into thematic blocks and specifically sensitise consumers to the various risks of the Internet.
The information and recommendations section provides the following in the block Basic tips on IT security (external link) section provides the basic rules of IT security and tips on how to use the internet safely.
Other topics such as online banking, the Internet of Things and Internet law are also covered. Information on how the internet works, the darknet and artificial intelligence is also provided.
In the cyber security situation section, consumers will find the BSI situation report and topic blocks with information on malware and attack methods.
In the services and cooperation section, the BSI presents its service centre, digital consumer protection, the cyber security network and the European Citizens' Initiative.
Finally, the possibilities for contacting the BSI are described.
