Gender Pay Gap
In 2020, women still earned on average about 18 % less than men. As the Federal Statistical Office (Destatis) announced on the occasion of Equal Pay Day on 10 March 2021, women earned an average of 18.62 euros gross per hour in 2020, 4.16 euros less than men (22.78 euros). In 2019, the difference was 4.28 euros.
