Unconscious bias

Unconscious bias is essentially an unconscious bias that can lead to distorted judgements. It arises from learned assumptions, beliefs or attitudes that exist in the subconscious mind. Everyone has these biases and uses them as mental shortcuts for faster information processing. Unconscious Bias develops over time as we gain life experiences and are exposed to various stereotypes. These biases include both favourable and unfavourable assessments and are activated involuntarily and unconsciously or without the person's active control.
