Service appraisal
According to § 92 of the North Rhine-Westphalia Civil Service Act, civil servants are to be evaluated at regular intervals (regular evaluation). According to § 8 of the Career Ordinance (Laufbahnverordnung, LVO), the interval is generally three years. In addition, there are appraisals for special reasons and appraisals during the probationary period. The appraisals are included in the personnel file after they have been announced to the civil servant. The FH Aachen follows the guidelines for the official evaluation of civil servants in the area of responsibility of the Ministry of School, Science and Research - RdErl. d. Ministeriums für Schule, Wissenschaft und Forschung v. 28. Feb. 2002 - 122-22/03-733/01.
Purpose of the assessment:
The performance of civil servants is to be assessed in a graded and comparable manner. In addition, a picture of aptitude and aptitude is to be gained. Appraisals are to enable the FH Aachen to base decisions on the scope of duties of civil servants and on their advancement in the service, in particular on promotion, on the principle of selection of the best.
Zweck der Beurteilung:
Die Leistungen der Beamt:innen sollen abgestuft und untereinander vergleichbar bewertet werden. Außerdem soll ein Bild der Befähigung und Eignung gewonnen werden. Beurteilungen sollen es der FH Aachen ermöglichen, Entscheidungen über den Aufgabenbereich von Beamt*innen und über ihr dienstliches Fortkommen, insbesondere über eine Beförderung, am Grundsatz der Bestenauslese auszurichten.
