Information for Doctoral Candidates

For organisational matters (advice, qualification, supervision, funding, support options), you will find contacts at the "doctoral college" at FH Aachen. It is the interdisciplinary platform for all doctoral candidates, those interested in doctoral studies and supervisors at the FH Aachen. The doctoral college of the FH Aachen was founded in 2007 as a "graduate community". Its aim is to establish a coordinating support structure for doctoral students at the FH Aachen and to bundle all activities related to the promotion of young academics.

With the doctoral college we would like to support you specifically in the preparation of your doctoral thesis. The doctoral college offers further training in which you will learn basic knowledge and advanced skills of scientific work. In addition, you will receive financial support for your participation in congresses and much more. Last but not least, the doctoral college promotes interdisciplinary networking among the doctoral candidates and supervisors as well as with the partner universities and the doctoral college NRW.
