Sie interessieren sich für eine Promotion nach dem Promotionsrecht des PK NRW oder befinden sich bereits in der Antragsphase?
In dieser Informationsveranstaltung erhalten Sie einen umfassenden Überblick über die Voraussetzungen und ersten Schritte einer strukturierten Promotion im Rahmen der Promotionsprogramme des PK NRW sowie einen Ausblick auf den weiteren Verlauf.
Wir erläutern unter anderem:
- welche Voraussetzungen für eine strukturierte Promotion am PK NRW gelten,
- wie Sie ein geeignetes Betreuungsteam finden und wer als Betreuung in Frage kommt,
- welche Anträge in welcher Reihenfolge zu stellen sind,
- und was Sie in den Promotionsprogrammen des PK NRW erwartet.
Die Veranstaltung richtet sich insbesondere an Promotionsinteressierte und Promovierende in der Antrags- oder Anfangsphase sowie an alle, die sich einen fundierten Überblick über die ersten Schritte zur Promotion am PK NRW verschaffen möchten.
Es besteht ausreichend Zeit für Fragen und Austausch. Eine Anmeldung ist nicht erforderlich.

Worum geht es?
Frauen berichten von ihren Erfahrungen aus der noch immer männerdominierten Welt der Technik und Wissenschaft. Dabei sprechen sie über Herausforderungen, Chancen, Lektionen wie Anekdoten ihres Arbeitsalltages, um insbesondere Studierenden Einblicke und die ein oder andere Inspiration mit auf den Weg geben zu können.
Umgang mit Forschungsdaten in der Promotion: Wie mache ich das konkret?
Daten erheben, beschreiben, sicher speichern und archivieren: das sind Aufgaben, die während der Promotion anfallen. Aber wie mache ich das effizient, nervenschonend und entsprechend der guten wissenschaftlichen Praxis? Und was hat das mit Forschungsdatenmanagement (FDM) zu tun? Informationen dazu finden Sie hier.

Contents
The occupational field of science management has changed considerably in recent years and has become increasingly professionalised. Extensive knowledge is required in science management. In addition to the organisational, economic and personnel management of the institution, interface and project management as well as broad knowledge of the science and higher education system and an understanding of the characteristics of different disciplines are important skills that make a good science manager.
The introductory workshop on science management offers an insight into the activities and provides initial knowledge of the skills required for this occupational field:
- Overview of the scientific landscape and science funding in Germany
- Introduction to political developments (focus on promoting young researchers)
- Introduction to the requirements of good scientific practice and research data management
- Introduction to PR and marketing
- networks
- Introduction to existing network structures
- Use of social media marketing for professional networking
- Basic knowledge of networking
- Legal basics: labour law, equal opportunities law, fixed-term and collective bargaining law, employee appraisals, PE
- Overview of possible further training programmes to expand science management skills

The Science Management course gives doctoral students an insight into the occupational fields of science management and provides initial knowledge of the skills required for this occupational field:
