Energy is valuable and should be used wisely.
The team headed by Prof Dr Christian Jungbluth consists of engineers and students from various disciplines.
We research and develop sustainable concepts, processes and technologies in the fields of bioenergy, bioresource management and sustainable energy systems.
For us, sustainable means using energy rationally, converting it efficiently and providing it independently of fossil and nuclear energy sources.
Our mission is to make a contribution to a nationwide sustainable energy supply.
NOWUM-Energy sees itself not only as a research institute, but also as a service provider.
We offer the following services:
- Creation of integrated climate protection concepts and development of energy concepts
- Analyses of biogas potential, in particular the usability of alternative substrates and residual materials
- Energy market simulation & data science in the energy industry
- Analysing and evaluating the effectiveness of new technologies such as disintegration in wastewater treatment
In addition, NOWUM-Energy scientists advise companies, cities and municipalities, industrial parks, energy suppliers and research institutions on the economic use of conventional and new energy technologies.
