Career Service
Career Service provides information on all aspects of career and further training.
The transition from university to employment must be well prepared. There are many questions to be answered regarding orientation, the labour market and alternatives, additional qualifications, further training and your applications. The events offered by the Career Service are supplemented by personal counselling.
The topics covered by Career Service are of equal value, but they change according to demand and taking into account the broadest possible range of topics. Additional suggestions for topics can be submitted to the Career Service. Please do not hesitate to contact us:
Important Information
I would like to take part in an event organised by the Career Service. How do I sign up?
Registration for Career Service events is only possible in writing from the beginning of the respective semester via Campus Office under the heading "Course Catalogue" (Vorlesungsverzeichnis). Exceptions to this are the events organised by the Employment Agency, the counselling sessions for university drop-outs about Switch, the Night of Companies (Nacht der Unternehmen), the meet@fh-aachen Job Fair and the Studium Generale lectures as well as some information events, which you can book directly via the speakers.
I would like to attend an event organised by the Career Service. Will I receive a certificate of attendance?
If you require a certificate of attendance, please proceed as follows:
- Fill in the certificate of attendance in full (first name and surname, title of the event, date of the event)
- Print out the completed certificate of attendance.
- Bring the completed and printed certificate of attendance to the event.
- Please be sure to add your signature after your name in the attendance list at the end of the event.
- The trainer / instructor will then send your certificate of attendance to the Career Service for signature.
- The signed certificate of attendance can then be collected from the SSC (Student Service Centre, Bayernallee 11, 1st floor at the information desk, phone 0241.6009 51616).
I am a representative of a company and would like to get in touch with students. What do I have to do?
The Career Service invites companies to set up a stand and present their business at the Job Fair, which takes place every spring. In addition, you will have the opportunity to introduce your company with a brief presentation.
