application
Admission to a course of study on the Bachelor's degree programme in Applied Mathematics and Computer Science is only possible if you can present a training contract as a Mathematical-Technical Software Developer (MaTSE) with a cooperating company. You must therefore apply for a training place at a research institute or training company in step 1. If a training contract is successfully concluded, registration at FH Aachen takes place in step 2.
Requirements for the Applied Mathematics and Computer Science degree programme
In addition to the general admission requirements, you must also have completed an apprenticeship as a mathematical-technical software developer for the Applied Mathematics and Computer Science degree programme.
Part of the application procedure at the study locations is a knowledge test, which focuses on general and mathematical competences. Aachen offers a taster test to give you an idea of how this test is structured.
The degree programme is also open to those who have completed training as a mathematical-technical assistant or mathematical-technical software developer. In this case, knowledge and skills acquired during the training can be recognised.
Step 1
You have the option of applying directly to a training company or you can apply centrally to the respective place of study. They will be happy to help you find a training place if you authorise them to pass on your details. They also offer apprenticeships themselves. An overview of the cooperating training companies and the central addresses for applications can be found on the pages of the study locations:
Step 2
After a successful application, you register for the degree programme at FH Aachen. Registration takes place online. A certified copy of the training contract must be submitted during the enrolment process. Information on the enrolment process
