How is the degree programme structured?

The Examination Regulations form an important basis for your degree programme. They contain all binding regulations, for example on compulsory and elective courses as well as deadlines and examination registration procedures.

Each semester usually comprises six modules for full-time students and three modules for part-time students. These are offered in the form of lectures, seminars, tutorials or practical trainings and usually conclude with an examination. Upon successful completion of the degree programme, you will receive credit points (credits or ECTS) and a grade. Each semester is worth 30 credits on the full-time programme and 15 credits on the part-time programme. In the first four semesters, you will acquire a broad basic knowledge of business administration, including the fundamentals of business administration, human resources, organisation, marketing, corporate taxes, accounting, cost accounting, finance, controlling and operations management. The degree programme culminates in the Bachelor's thesis. In it, you demonstrate that you are able to work independently on a scientific question from a specialised field within a given deadline. Upon successful completion of all academic achievements, you will be awarded the academic degree Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.).
