Taster programme

Be a student for a day!

During the second week of the Easter holidays (NRW) and the first week of the autumn holidays (NRW), we offer you the opportunity to take part in lectures, exercises and practical experiments in the "Biotechnology" and "Applied Chemistry" degree programmes.
You will get a first impression of your possible future studies with us. Participation in the taster programme is of course free of charge.

At the Jülich campus of FH Aachen, we regularly organise an "Open Day" (every two years). On this day, you have the opportunity to visit the laboratories and lecture rooms and get an impression of what it's like to study. Many of our teaching staff and students are available to answer your questions!

Lectures for pupils

If you would like to get a first impression of what is taught at a university and how it is taught, why not sit in on a lecture? There are selected lectures for school students that you can attend at any time.

We offer workshops on various topics in the fields of applied chemistry and biotechnology for senior school groups.

Work placement

Are you looking for an internship? We look forward to receiving your application! In our Applied Chemistry and Biotechnology laboratories, 4-week work placements can be completed as part of a vocational training programme.
As a rule, you will be invited to a personal interview and can view the laboratories beforehand.
