Study programme variants
Business Studies Praxis Plus (study + vocational training)
In the study variant full-time study + vocational training, you acquire a commercial vocational training in addition to the Bachelor of Science degree. After graduating from school, you do not have to choose between an vocational training and a degree programme, because a combination of both is possible. The special "plus" of the degree programme is the high practical component.
The university degree programme can be combined with the following recognised vocational trainings:
- Industrial Business Management Assistant
- Management Assistant in Retail Business
- Office Management Assistant
- Management Assistant in Wholesale and Foreign Trade
- Management Assistant in E-Commerce
Study schedule
The vocational training in the company starts in July or August. This is followed by four semesters of study (from the following summer semester). Attendance at vocational school is compulsory for vocational training as an Industrial Management Assistant. Vocational school is held two days a week during the first half of the training. From the start of studies, vocational school is reduced to one day a week. This takes place on Fridays. For the other vocational trainings, vocational school is optional. If the vocational school is not attended, the students are in the company on Fridays.
During the lecture-free period, students continue their vocational training in the company. The students spend the fifth study semester as a practical semester in the company and take their final vocational training examination at the responsible chamber. The programme ends after two further semesters of study, during which the students perform both in the company and at the university.

Business Studies Praxis Plus (study + occupation)
In the study variant full-time studies + occupation, students receive a high-quality degree in economics, gain professional experience and are introduced to qualified activities in the company at an early stage and in line with requirements.

Students start working in the company in August, and their studies begin the following March (summer semester). Study and practical phases alternate and are supplemented by at least one weekly practical day in the company during the study phase. A further full-time practical semester in the company and the writing of the Bachelor's thesis on a practical topic in the company give the degree programme its special practical plus.

Business Studies Praxis Plus (part-time study + occupation)
In this study variant, the practical time of the students in the company is significantly increased with approx. 20 hours per week. This allows the junior employee to be integrated even more intensively into the company's work routine and to be introduced to responsible activities. The students attend the regular courses and lectures and use the remaining time to work in the company. Due to the consistently high practical time, also during the study phases, it is possible for the company to schedule the junior employee for important projects throughout the year.

The practical time in the company is approx. 20 hours per week, which is significantly higher than in the full-time version of the dual study programme Business Studies Praxis Plus + occupation.
