Karriereweg Gründung
Laut Handelsblatt sind die beliebtesten Studienrichtungen bei jenen, die ein Unternehmen gründen, Wirtschaftswissenschaften, Informatik, Computer Science oder Mathematik oder aber Ingenieurwissenschaften. DIB Studierende nehmen von allem etwas mit. Neben betriebswirtschaftlichem Grundwissen lernen sie die Grundlagen der Informatik und Data Science und sind in der Lage sich jederzeit in neue technische Themenfelder einzuarbeiten. Durch die Ansiedlung am Fachbereich Elektrotechnik und Kommunikationstechnik stehen sie im interdisziplinären Austausch mit angehenden Elektro- und IT Ingenieuren woraus sich zahlreiche Kooperationschancen ergeben.
Gründungswillige Studierende erhalten direkt am Campus im benachbarten Gründungszentrum Hilfe, Coachings, Ideen und genug Platz, um diese auch umzusetzen. Auch der hochschulinterne Career Service bietet zahlreiche Angebote. Der Fachbereich arbeitet zudem eng mit dem digitalHub Aachen zusammen, sodass es Gründer und Gründerinnen leicht haben, sich ein erstes Netzwerk aufzubauen und Gleichgesinnte zu finden.
Further options after the Bachelor's degree
The degree programme is offered as a six-semester Bachelor's degree programme without a practical semester or as a seven-semester Bachelor's degree programme with an integrated practical semester.
The second option offers a further practice-oriented specialisation and the opportunity to complete a Master's degree. With the Master's degree programme"Information Systems Engineering", graduates have the opportunity to gain further qualifications for management positions directly at FH Aachen. However, (business) computer science Master's degree programmes at other universities are also conceivable, as are Master's degree programmes in the fields of technology and innovation management, digital transformation or entrepreneurship.
