Study Programme Variants
The combined degree programme is interdisciplinary. It offers an education tailored to the specific integrative tasks of an industrial engineer. It is accessible to engineers and industrial engineers as well as to relevantly trained business students.
The Master's degree programme builds on the Bachelor's degree programmes in business, industrial engineering, mechanical engineering or other related engineering disciplines. It is offered as a 3- or 4-semester degree programme. Assignment to the 3- or 4-semester degree programme depends on the student's Bachelor's degree.

Duration: Three or Four Semesters
You can start the Master's programme in Industrial Engineering with a Bachelor's degree and 180 ECTS credits (Mechanical Engineering, Business Administration and Economics or Industrial Engineering subject area Mechanical Engineering) or 210 ECTS credits (Mechanical Engineering Industrial Engineering subject area Mechanical Engineering). If you have already earned 180 ECTS, you will complete an additional adaptation semester and the Master's programme will last 4 semesters; if you have already earned 210 ECTS, the Master's programme will only last three semesters.
In both variants, the courses are attended in accordance with the curriculum at the Department of Economics and the Department of Mechanical Engineering and Mechatronics and the programme ends with the project proposal and the Master's thesis.
